Product Overview
The Total Flux Probe (TFProbe) is used for detection of shorted rotor windings in generators and synchronous motors where the air gap is less than 50mm by measuring air gap flux.
The Gulfsiz Total Flux Probe (TFProbe) is a non-metallic sensor that detects the magnetic field emanated from each rotor pole in generators and synchronous motors to determine the presence and severity of failure mechanisms including out of round rotor, off center rotor, thermal imbalance of rotor poles, loose poles, stator Migration or shorted rotor turns.
These failure mechanisms can lead to decreased generator power, higher electrical losses, inability to meet the machine MVA rating, significant vibration and catastrophic ground faults.
